The Outbound Logistics serves customers, who want to ship their goods on a project basis. The main export ports are Hamburg and Rotterdam for the OOG and Breakbulk shipments and Bremerhaven and Antwerp for RoRo transports. In doing so, our excellent contacts with the corresponding truck forwarding companies come to fruition, as well as our experience with the transhipment companies in the respective ports.

Our focus in inbound logistics is on a fast response time, direct customer contact, as well as a professional handling of the shipments at competitive prices.

Services

Land Transports
Whether conventional or heavy and special transports, Bremer Lloyd offers a comprehensive range of products in the context of its door-to-door solutions. We organize the pre- and off-carriage for you.

Conventional transports:

We offer reliable and cost-effective transport solutions in Germany and Europe. These include the delivery of import and export shipping containers by truck direct-circulation or more environmentally friendly combined transport by truck / train and truck / barge.

Heavy and special transports:

Whether a low loader, a tanker bridge or a low bed loader is required for your goods, we have a favourable solution through first-class contacts. In doing so, we take care of all the formalities, including obtaining transport permission and organizing the traffic control measures. In addition, our employees are trained as Dangerous Goods Representatives and are accordingly trained in the transport of dangerous goods.

Sea Freight
Container

Loading worldwide – fast and efficient: That’s the extensive service of Bremer Lloyd FCL shipments. We see ourselves as experts for OGG and SEQ shipments (out of gauge / special equipment) on container ships. With more than 2,000 shipments per year Bremer Lloyd is one of the leading forwarding agencies in the OOG segment. You can also rely on Bremer Lloyd with unusual cargo dimensions. At those transports the goods can be loaded containerisable and pre-lashed. Even complete machines and heavy cargo with unusual dimensions can be shipped.

The following containers are used:
- Open-top container
- Flat Racks
- 40’ HC to 45’
RoRo:

We also provide RoRo-shipments, especially at the motor vehicle segment. The ships we use have drivable decks, on which the loading can be rolled. The motor vehicles are moved on chains or with tyres for this transport, so this is also possible for unmotorized vehicles. Besides, we also transport high and heavy loading, as well as project loading, on MAFI-trailers.

Special Projects

„Huge and heavy“ is our mission. Especially when it comes to extraordinary dimensions and requirements, you can rely on the Bremer Lloyd. Our Special Projects Team is constantly at your disposal, whenever there are commodities, which even as OOG cargo, are to huge to be containerized. When this is the case, we have the possibility over longer distances, to transport particularly heavy and bulky commodities as Breakbulk cargo on container vessels, being smaller volumes, or on traditional Heavylift vessels with a cargo carrying capacity of more than 45.000 tons and a lifting capacity of up to 2.000 tons on part – or full charter, in case more volumes are supposed to be transported. The latter offers moreover the possibility to call ports, which are not frequented by the liner traffic vessels. If the call to smaller ports is the most productive approach, small coasters with less than 1.000 tons cargo carrying capacities can be employed.

Engineering
- Development of methods and procedures for the most demanding projects in a difficult environment. For this purpose we develop stowage plans, 3-D simulations of the handling activities, motion analyses, force calculations in accordance to the cargo -, lashing – and vessel specifications or requirements and the required sea – and weather conditions or assumptions.
- Feasibility studies, route planning, ship survey, as well as infrastructural evaluation of remote areas.
- Complete and professional selection and administration of subcontractors.
  Continuous risk assessment during the entire project execution.
Project Management
- Fulfillment and supervision of the HSQE requirements and documention of all non-conformities.
- Indemnification of a compliance to the full extent
- Continuous reporting to the involved business parties of the project
- Ensuring a 24/7 reachability
- Regular exchange of experiences within institutionalized “lesson learnt sessions”
Supercargo
- Issuing stowage plans
